Self-Guided Routes

Routes to discover wide skies and dramatic views

Walking is the one of the best ways to see the Cotswolds National Landscape. Enjoy exploring new places, revisiting old haunts, or tackling one of the long distance routes that cross the area – there are thousands of miles of pathway in the Cotswolds, just waiting to be explored. Self-guided routes offer a more independent way of exploring the Cotswolds countryside and landscape. To find the perfect route for you, including a range of more accessible routes, scroll down to use our filtering search tool.

  • Enjoy your walk and don’t forget to share any photos you might take on social media! #CotswoldsNationalLandscape
  • If you are using public transport to get to and from your walk, please check timetables online before travelling.
  • Always remember to take appropriate clothing and footwear, pack some water and snacks, and leave no trace!
  • Donations are welcome and help us produce more walks like these and to take care of the countryside.
  • If any of the directions on the walks need updating, please do let us know by emailing: info@cotswolds-nl.org.uk
  • For linear walks also take a look at Slow Ways (who are helping create a national walking network).
