Five Rotarians from North Oxford staged a re-enactment of 'Last of the Summer Wine'. All 70 this year, we started from Chipping Campden and completed our walk of The Cotswold Way (a linear 103 miles (and about the same up and down!!!): we did it piecemeal over 3 weeks, 3 days each week, staying at hostelries on the way while putting the world to rights. We are delighted to say that we have raised over £1500 in sponsorship for a goodly cause - Prostate Cancer. We had a wonderful time, and much fun, with plenty of bonding, banter and even beer.

Team 280 (i.e. four of us who all turn 70 this year!) completed "The Way" in 3 lots of 3 days and had a terrific time. Inspired to do more similar challenges, I have just bought a new pair of boots and am still basking in the warm after glow of a job well done. If you're thinking of doing it - do it and you won't regret it!

3x3days a week four oldies experienced wonderful scenery, great fun & fellowship, some glorious sun and a little rain and satisfyingly tired legs. What great memories - go out and do it!

The two of us, walked North to South on a cold week. Visibility was good, and the paths had dried out. A truly memorable walk where we averaged 15 miles a day. We made several friends along the way. Our walk culminated in a Thunderstorm of hail as we entered Bath, an unforgettable end to the trail! The Bluebells were in full flower. We saw a wild Deer too! We took the long way round the very exposed Stinchcombe golf course.

The Cotswold Way was our first National Trail Walk. We completed the Coast to Coast walk in May 2015 and enjoyed it so much that we decided to walk as many of the U.K. National Trails as possible. We really enjoyed the walk, the weather was mostly dry, it was a bit muddy in places but the scenery was fantastic, the villages were picture postcard perfect and the trail itself is so very well marked that you can just relax and enjoy it without following a map.

What a fantastic route! The Cotswold Way has just about everything a great walk should have - beautiful countryside, picturesque villages, historic towns and cities, stunning views and countless places of interest. To complete the experience, there are some truly great places to eat and stay all along the route.

We really enjoyed the walk, walking from north to south monthly with Cotswold Voluntary Wardens. It was great to see the scenery and learn about local features and to get to know other people in our group. We particularly enjoyed the views west from the Cotswold escarpment in various places: near the start of the walk, around Cheltenham, and as we approached Bath. The weather was kind, except (perhaps predictably) wet and windy in January and February. This walk is a beautiful "must." We're pleased to have done it.

I ran the Cotswold Way in twelve stages in Spring/early Summer and Autumn/Winter 2015. To make the exercise more interesting, I got to the start and back from the finish of each stage by public transport. In some cases this entailed extra mileage to reach bus/train connections. Total distance covered was 180 km (compared with the "official" distance of 163 km). I found the trail well marked and generally easy to follow, although I did make a few minor route finding errors. The path is well maintained, although after the heavy rainfall towards the end of the year some sections were very muddy and water-logged. The trail is quite hilly: I logged a total elevation gains of 4,100 m (equivalent to nearly three times the height of Ben Nevis!). I used the Trailblazer guide, and found that tearing our the map pages and using those for route finding made it unnecessary to carry cumbersome ordnance survey maps. An excellent trail with superb views and varied terrain - strongly recommended.

After retiring we set ourselves the challenge of walking 'The Cotswold Way'. This was a splendid journey with amazing views, great company, spectacular photos and leisurely lunches. It was also a brilliant achievement for us as a team as it was no mean feat in organising our diary dates!! An amazing walk and I would recommend it to anyone thinking of taking up the challenge...

We walked the Cotswold Way as a series of family day walks each approximately 5 miles in length and are so proud of our two children Katie (age 8) and Ben (age 5) for completing every step of the 100+ miles! We all loved the walk, gorgeous views, loads of wildlife and we finished at home in Bath!

Divided the walk up into sections we could do at weekends over the 9 months and combined it with geocaching. Stunning scenery and met so many lovely people. With hindsight we might have preferred to walk south to north as the Bath section seemed a bit of an anticlimax.
