I walked the Cotswolds Way for two reasons: I had never done a long walk before and I wanted to do something for a good cause. So I walked the Way on my own for Thames Valley Air Ambulance and raised £2,200. April is a great time to walk the Way as for long stretches you are surrounded by bluebells and the white flowers of wild garlic. It is an awesome sight. Walking on your own brings a different experience. You meet a lot more people! Along the way I meet some amazing characters with great stories to tell. A particular thanks to Ann & Keith (Sloths forever!), and to Cindy, Randy, Nik and Bailey from the US who had never been to the UK before but came to walk the Way. Great memories. And to the people who ran the B&B's who all donated and put up with my stories. And lastly to John, a true character and introduced me to Jane's Magic Wood. For anyone planning to walk to Way do not be fooled in believing it is a stroll. It has more inclines and descends per mile than most of the UK's national trails; and the people who mapped out the route back in the 70's had a masochistic sense of humour - why go direct when you can detour up a big hill!

We walked the Cotswolds Way over 3 long weekends, one each year, except for 2106, when Ian had a knee replacement, walking West to Bath. We thoughly enjoyed the views and the villages. We enjoyed the last stretch the best, though that might have been because of the new knee.

It took me almost two years as I headed out and did chunks of the Cotswold Way as an when I had time. I completed the majority of the 100 miles alone with my dog, and thoroughly enjoyed getting out in the countryside knowing that the pathways were well-maintained and I wasn't going to face overgrown routes, or barbed wire barricades across the path as I have come across on some other public rights of way. Now I'm going to start walking the length of Offa's Dyke.

I really enjoyed the walk organised by the Cotswold Way Wardens. Having a coach to pick you up at the start of each walk & ferrying you home made it so easy. The wardens were all very friendly & full of information about the walk & local history. There were many highlights, the first being the beautiful & unspoilt village of Stanton. I was so impressed with this that I made a return visit with my wife. Ulley Bury was again a marvellous site (how did those ancient people have the time to make such ramparts?) with great panoramic views, again warranting a return visit. The group I was with were all very friendly. The walk had many splendid viewing points, the last being Prospect Stile, giving magnificent views over the approach to Bath. It was a great experience!!!

I walked the Cotswold Way north to south stages with the Cotswold Wardens, and just completed the one stage I missed. We passed through many beautiful landscapes and villages and enjoyed good company all the way. Thank you Cotswold Wardens, you are legends.

I walked from Chipping Campden to Bath, incredibly beautiful walk with some stunning views enhanced with the early autumnal colours beginning to appear complementing the honey coloured brick buildings. Accommodation, food and pubs along the route were of a high quality. Will look to do this Trail again in a different season and maybe in the other direction just to get some alternative views.

We started our walk in Chipping Camden and did it in 7 stages and ended in Bath. Picture shows our feet on the final stone outside the Abbey. The views over the whole walk were spectacular and e have visited many of the areas again, due to the beauty and also for a spot of Geocaching. Amazingly, it only rained once on the whole walk and that was on the fourth stage for about 15 minutes. I don't think we could have been luckier. Thank you to all the volunteers for the up keep of this walk as we thoroughly enjoyed it. Harlen andLindsay

Glorious walk over three long weekends (8 'walking days'). Well marked trail (this is the fourth national trail we have completed). Some of the hill climbs were steep so its not a particulary easy going trail but the views are so worth the effort!

Thoroughly enjoyed this charming walk. While both of us are now in our (very) early seventies, it was a very manageable challenge - though at one point, I decided to count the number of stiles we were going through - I quit at 40! Especially enjoyed all the various people we met along the Way! Sat out a (rare?) thunderstorm at the Old Spot in Durseley. Perfect timing. We live in an area with no terrain and many golf courses - all of which feature an abundance of golf carts. So we were amused when we crossed several golf courses on the Way with considerable terrain and NO golf carts! We would highly recommend this walk to anyone up for a bit of a challenge!

It didn't actually take that long!! We did 4 days in June and then 3 in September. Lovely walk with some surprisingly tiring sections. We enjoyed the climb up to the top of the Tyndale Monument to get the views and appreciated the "Walkers' Welcome" at Old Sodbury Church.

I have been talking to my friends about long distance walks for ages and finally persuaded them to join me on the Cotswold Way so this was the first long distance adventure for Shaz and Daz, and what a walk. The views were stunning, the weather kind to us and cream teas every other day, who could ask for more! The path is extremely well marked and there is so much to stop and see on route. We even had a fly over by the Red Arrows to greet us as we ended our days walk in Winchcombe ! Thank you for a great holiday x
