We started the journey from Chipping Campden and completed the walk arriving in Bath over the course of 5 days. Day 1 Chipping Campden to Cleaves Hill, Day 2 Cleaves Hill to Painswick, Day 3 Painswick to Wooten Under Edge, Day 4 Wooten Under Edge to Old Sodbury and finally Day 5 Old Sodbury to Bath. The weather was fantastic and the route idyllic. We took our dogs who although have spent the last week sleeping we’re in their element. Highly recommend.

I and a friend ( Nigel Cockburn) , both in our 70 's, walked the Cotswold Way from north to south with the help of Cotswold Walks Co. We began in Chipping Campden, then followed the Way , stopping overnight near Wood Stanway, then Winchcombe, Charlton Kings, Cheltenham, Birdlip, Painswick, Kings Stanley/ Leonard Stanley, Wotton-under-Edge, Old Sodbury, Pennsylvania, and ending in Bath. A very enjoyable and for us, long walk of over 100 miles , completed in ten days( which helped break up the walk for us into manageable distances each day) . It rained on our first day and the Way seemed excessively muddy for the first two days ( perhaps the track needs some maintenance at the northern end?). After that the weather was cold , windy and dry, with some very enjoyable walking, and our final two days were rather warm. Sorry, unable to add photo of our walk from my iPad, is it possible to send by eg. email?

What a fabulous trail this is to walk. I completed it over 10 sections on various days between March and April, commuting from home on each occasion. Fantastic views, plenty of history along the way, together with lovely Cotswold stone buildings and walls made this a journey never to be forgotten. Definately one to put on your bucket list if you have not yet walked it

The Cotswold Way is the first trail that I’ve completed from one end to the other! Great views, great people and highly recommend!

We walked from North to South. A fantastic but at times challenging walk of immense views and breathtaking scenery. After the first couple of days the weather turned in our favour, the cloud lifted and we were rewarded for our endeavours with a panorama that left us speechless. A memorable experience on so many levels.

Beautiful week's walking in the spectacular landscape of the Cotswolds. Raising money for African school projects.

We walked the Cotswolds Way over 4 days, breaking the journey at Seven Springs, Middleyard and Horton. It is beautiful walk with fantastic scenery, and passes many interesting landmarks (although our tight schedule didn’t give us time to linger at many!) The weather for our walk was classic for an English April: a mix of of sunshine, wind and rain but fortunately we packed for all 4 seasons! Covering 35-55 kilometres each day meant that we needed plenty of fuel, giving us our quote of the adventure “Lunch is a period of grazing between 11 and 3 after which it becomes afternoon snacks!” Thanks to everyone who helped during our trip and to the volunteers who help maintain the trail - we would highly recommend this walk and that you take a few extra days if you’d like to sightsee along the way.

Walking the Cotswold Way was a great experience thanks to John Bartram and all the Cotswold Wardens for organising and leading, backstopping on all the sections. The natural scenery was marvellous and the walk enabled me to see many places of historical and archaeological interest and; the wardens were a mine of local information. I enjoyed meeting and chatting to other walkers and, because I walked over 3 years, I must have met 60!

I completed the Cotswold Way by joining the monthly lead walks by the Avon Valley District Cotswold Voluntary Wardens. Our merry band was 25 strong with a wide range of experiences but all loved the great outdoors. This was a most enjoyable experience letting the Wardens take the 'pain' out of organising transport to the start and collection from the finish of each section. The 2018 summer was one of the hottest on record which made the first 5 sections that little bit more challenging however, the views were stunning. Good company, great views, lots of stories and laughs and plenty to remember.

Had a great walk and loved the scenery that I walked through. Highlights for me were: - arriving at Belas Knapp on my own with it shrouded in mist - leckhampton to brockworth, an area where my family is from - Painswick church yard - the last 3 days where I was walking in t shirt, shorts and 20 degrees C! I did the walk in 3 shifts of 2 days (2.5 days in the last week). I used Broadway, Stroud, Yate and Bath as my bases and got buses to start and end points.

Great walk - first time I have walked these distances on so many consecutive days. Loved the scenery and the chance to refresh at so many lovely pubs on the way.

Fantastic walk Great views and steeped in history Path was very up and down- more so than the SWCP Make sure you have foot ware that has good shock absorbers in them as the path, for much of the way , stony and hard/tiring under foot (if you are backpacking)Views from the escarpments, hills far reaching and worth taking a breather to enjoy If you are backpacking and camping wild then drinking water is a problem - summer especially!? Very few streams Lots of paths criss-cross the Cotswold Way and the amount of different signs can be confusing In spring / summer with all the wildflowers and wildlife around it would be even better Thanks to all the people who look after the trail DB

We had a great time, it was tough doing this walk so early in the year as the weather threw it all at us, rain, sleet, hail, gale force winds and even snow ( which is why we took a few days break) we even had two beautiful days of sunshine. This photo was taken in the sleet as we left Seven Springs. My Mum is in her 70th year so wow what an achievement! My advice to anyone planning to do this is don’t do it in Jan/Feb, don’t walk the footpath from the Bodkin House hotel back to Hawkesbury Upton ( all stiles have been made impassable by the local farmer ) if you need a taxi from Cold Ashton use V Cars - the only instruction I could give them was that I was sat on a bench somewhere in Cold Ashton and bless him he found us 🤪
