The hardest and best thing I have ever done - the weather could have been kinder but that only adds to the sense of achievement I guess!

I walked from Chipping Campden to Painswick and it was a great experience. I met great people and enjoyed every great view.

I've thought about our time on the Cotswold Way every day since we completed the walk. The grand vistas, the epic hills and monuments - they were all special. But it is the little moments - the people that we met, the meals we shared, the pints we raised, the quiet, the laughs, the rain and the sun - those are what stick with me. I hope to return to the Cotswold Way and do it all again. It will definitely be with a huge smile on my face!

Done as a B&B walk using Mickledore Walking Holidays. The trail had a lot more climbs and descents than we expected but great for cardio. Frequent fantastic views over the countryside. Talking to other hikers and enjoying the villages we passed through were a highlight. Highly recommended.

We set out from Bath to complete the route in reverse, finishing in Chipping Campden 6 days later; celebrating our 21st Wedding Anniversary along the way. Staying in superb B&Bs along the route, bags transferred to the next B&B for our afternoon arrival. It was awe inspiring, allowed us to see beautiful vistas and walk trails that many don’t know exist. The variety of people we met and chatted to along the way was a treat, it felt like a walking family and that we were doing something very special. A variety of path types, steep ascents and gruelling descents, shaded woodland walks and ridge top viewpoints to occupy the eyes and leg muscles! Long may this stunning route be preserved and made accessible to many more intrepid walkers. We passed through on location filming in the enchanting and very pretty village of Stanton! Reaching Chipping Campden on the warmest and sunniest of days on 31st May we had to take a few emotional moments to take in the enormity of 103 Cotswold Way miles walked. I hope our children will be inspired and take on the challenge when they are older. We loved every moment and wish we were back in the peace, calm and serenity of mother nature with no modern life interferences - walking together with our thoughts, laughs and each other’s company - bliss! Where will our walking boots take us next?

We loved waking the Cotswold way as a family. Our daughters both loved exploring as we walked. We would do small segments most weekends as our youngest (age 2 when we started and 3 when we finished) could only walk a few miles. It was a wonderful way to spend time together as a family outside! We enjoyed all 4 seasons as we progressed from starting in Bath.

A beautiful walk, and I was lucky to have perfect weather. I took my time and carried everything in my backpack rather than have a bag transported— very little is needed when staying in lodging every night. Short stages made it easy to enjoy a number of sights on and near the trail.

Linda and I took our time and walked the length of the Cotswold Way beginng in Chipping Campden and ending in Bath. This walk was absolutely beautiful. The sounds of birds accompanied wonderful people that we met as we hiked the hills, valleys, forests and pastures. So many lasting and enriching memories.

Fabulous walk with lots of blooming garlic and spectacular scenery. Two days in the rain but the rest was amazing weather (seems like it would be illegal or immoral to not encounter some rain). Great people along the path. Very hospitable accommodations. There is quite a bit of ‘up’ so don’t be surprised when you find another hill at what seemed like it was the top of the last.

It was all that I dreamed of. We did not complete the trail but walked from the trail head at Bath Abbey to Painswick. About 52 miles over 6 days with all our belongings on our backs. The weather was wonderful, sunny and in the low 60s. We stopped at Inn each night and had great meals for dinner and breakfast the next morning. A trip of a lifetime!

With a name Adrian Walker it’s probably no surpriseI organised this trip as “A Walker” and did it to raise funds for LOROS Hospice based in Leicester. We completed the walk north to south. The walk was absolutely fabulous with superb views. Some of the team felt the route planner had a warped sense of humour particularly by sending them straight up Coopers Hill. The route was very well sign posted throughout but walking through a crowded Bath it wasn’t so easy to spot the little acorn signs. A few of us did a recce in February and that obviously helped. The condition of the path has been well maintained with only a few tricky bits caused by the heavy rains we experienced and cattle. Overall a great walk and one which if I get enough victims/ walkers will repeat next year. In all we are hoping to have raise over £8,000 for the Hospice. We are interested in purchasing Cotswold Badges & if you want more photos I have loads you may use. My contact is 07446 082910 AdrianWalker@loros.co.uk

The trail is so well waymarked and maintained and parts are truly very beautiful in spring. I have never seen to many cowslips and the woods were full of ransoms and bluebells. There's a bit too much road crossing on the penultimate stage but otherwise, a peaceful walk along paths and minor roads. I can see why some people opt for this as their first national trail.

We retired last year and decided to walk the Cotswold Way in stages one day per week. We found it very enjoyable as well as good healthy exercise. The Cotswold Way is generally well signposted with some magnificent views. We will continue to walk and look forward to re-visit the Cotswold Way in the future.
