Walk with a Watery Theme – and a Rare Bloom!
With two fountains, a water mill, streams to cross and a watering hole to enjoy at the end this walk has everything including a member of Evryone's Evenlode team who will give us interesting snippets about wildlife. The big star will be the rare meadow clary which should be in flower.
The camp site at Banbury Hill Farm has an excellent café, open to all, The Old Shed. The walk is mostly on field tracks and through woodland with a tiny bit of road walking.
This walk is organised by Cotswold Voluntary Wardens, the voluntary arm of the Cotswolds Conservation Board. These walks offer an interesting and often entertaining way of exploring our wonderful Cotswold countryside and landscape. All walks by the Voluntary Wardens are FREE OF CHARGE however donations are welcome and help us to take care of the countryside.
PLEASE: always remember to wear appropriate footwear because some walks may be steep and muddy in places. Dogs are not allowed on walks, except guide dogs and hearing dogs. It is advisable to check the website or call the Cotswolds Conservation Board (07841 663607) beforehand for details of any changes, particularly during bad weather.
