Seeking peace and protection.

Back to Guided Walks page

It is advisable to bring walking sticks as some of the paths are slippery due to recent adverse weather.

Starting from the village of Sapperton the walk takes us to Daneway and then along a variety of paths towards Frith Wood and Resting Hill. From Edgeworth polo club we return to the start past Gloucester Beeches and Dorvel Wood.

Whilst some climbing and descending (total ascent 1010ft) is involved the way follows a number of quiet paths and passes Frith House which has an interesting history. Please park considerately in Sapperton.

This walk is organised by Cotswold Voluntary Wardens, the voluntary arm of the Cotswolds Conservation Board. These walks offer an interesting and often entertaining way of exploring our wonderful Cotswold countryside and landscape. All walks by the Voluntary Wardens are FREE OF CHARGE however donations are welcome and help us to take care of the countryside.

PLEASE: always remember to wear appropriate footwear because some walks may be steep and muddy in places. Dogs are not allowed on walks, except guide dogs and hearing dogs. It is advisable to check the website or call the Cotswolds Conservation Board (07841 663607) beforehand for details of any changes, particularly during bad weather.
