Dodge the Valentine Hype
We follow footpaths and lanes to leave Horsley and head across fields to a secluded camping spot at Sallywood farm from where we head towards Nailsworth. We walk along the delightful Miry Brook, through Shortwood and back to Horsley via Tickmorend. Bring a drink and a snack.
If we have had a lot of rain it may be quite muddy and slippery so wear appropriate footwear and consider bringing a walking pole. Image courtesy of Google Streetview.
This walk is organised by Cotswold Voluntary Wardens, the voluntary arm of the Cotswolds Conservation Board. These walks offer an interesting and often entertaining way of exploring our wonderful Cotswold countryside and landscape. All walks by the Voluntary Wardens are FREE OF CHARGE however donations are welcome and help us to take care of the countryside.
PLEASE: always remember to wear appropriate footwear because some walks may be steep and muddy in places. Dogs are not allowed on walks, except guide dogs and hearing dogs. It is advisable to check the website or call the Cotswolds Conservation Board (07841 663607) beforehand for details of any changes, particularly during bad weather.
