Box to Box

From the village of Box we descend through delightful woodland before climbing through open countryside to enjoy the extensive views. We then pass along Ledgemore Bottom to return to our start point via Shiptons Grave Lane and Hazel wood. Bring snacks, drinks and a packed lunch.
The walk allows us to enjoy ancient woodlands and peaceful countryside with the possibility of seeing local flora and fauna. Image of Box courtesy of box-village.com
This walk is organised by Cotswold Voluntary Wardens, the voluntary arm of the Cotswolds Conservation Board. These walks offer an interesting and often entertaining way of exploring our wonderful Cotswold countryside and landscape. All walks by the Voluntary Wardens are FREE OF CHARGE however donations are welcome and help us to take care of the countryside.
PLEASE: always remember to wear appropriate footwear because some walks may be steep and muddy in places. Dogs are not allowed on walks, except guide dogs and hearing dogs. It is advisable to check the website or call the Cotswolds Conservation Board (07841 663607) beforehand for details of any changes, particularly during bad weather.
