Beyond the Prison and across the fields

Back to Guided Walks page

The weather forecast for Thursday 24th is heavy snow. In view of this we have decided to cancel the walk but have rescheduled it for Tuesday March 8th. We hope you are able to join us then.

An easy walk out of Northleach, beyond the Old Prison and over to Hampnett. Turning south we walk along two long distance paths; a wide choice of footpaths allows us to adjust the return route if the weather is inclement. Please bring coffee/snack. A range of cafes and pubs in town following walk.

No need to book. Just turn up.

This walk is organised by Cotswold Voluntary Wardens, the voluntary arm of the Cotswolds Conservation Board. These walks offer an interesting and often entertaining way of exploring our wonderful Cotswold countryside and landscape. All walks by the Voluntary Wardens are FREE OF CHARGE however donations are welcome and help us to take care of the countryside.

PLEASE: always remember to wear appropriate footwear because some walks may be steep and muddy in places. Dogs are not allowed on walks, except guide dogs and hearing dogs. It is advisable to check the website or call the Cotswolds Conservation Board (07841 663607) beforehand for details of any changes, particularly during bad weather.
