All roads lead to Rome
A circular walk starting at Chedworth Roman Villa and walking to the village of Chedworth and back.
The walk starts from the overflow car park at Chedworth Roman Villa. It starts by following the Monarch’s Way and Macmillan Way which is now part of the new Coln River Way. We then walk up through Chedworth Woods to the village of Chedworth and visit the very interesting parish church. We then return to Chedworth Roman Villa via the WW2 airfield. Photo: CNL
This walk is organised by Cotswold Voluntary Wardens, the voluntary arm of the Cotswolds Conservation Board. These walks offer an interesting and often entertaining way of exploring our wonderful Cotswold countryside and landscape. All walks by the Voluntary Wardens are FREE OF CHARGE however donations are welcome and help us to take care of the countryside.
PLEASE: always remember to wear appropriate footwear because some walks may be steep and muddy in places. Dogs are not allowed on walks, except guide dogs and hearing dogs. It is advisable to check the website or call the Cotswolds Conservation Board (07841 663607) beforehand for details of any changes, particularly during bad weather.
