A tale of two commons

Back to Guided Walks page

A circular walk from Cranham via Jack’s Green taking in Sheepscomb and Cranham commons.

The walk commences in Cranham and heads south generally descending through pleasant countryside. It then follows the Wysis way for a short section before reaching Jack’s Green. A short descent leads to Sheepscombe. From that point the way ascends via Sheepscombe common and Lords Wood to Saltridge Hill. The final section ascends through very fine Beech wood to Cranham common. Photo: David Fabbro

This walk is organised by Cotswold Voluntary Wardens, the voluntary arm of the Cotswolds Conservation Board. All walks by the Voluntary Wardens are FREE OF CHARGE however donations are welcome and help us to take care of the countryside.

PLEASE: always remember to wear appropriate footwear because some walks may be steep and muddy in places. Dogs are not allowed on walks, except guide dogs and hearing dogs.
