The Cotswold Way lived up to its reputation as a charming and bucolic ramble through some of England’s most beautiful countryside. With steep climbs to stunning hilltop vistas, easy strolls through picturesque villages and wobbling through uneven sheep-filled pastures, the experience was both restorative to the soul and challenging enough to qualify the walk as an accomplishment. Signage is generally excellent, though be prepared to get lost a time or two. But never fear. There’s always another walker or passer-by to set you straight and motorists seem quite willing to be flagged down to help.
Thank you to all those who support the trail system.
