Cherington Nags

We follow an ancient Roman road between Cirencester and Chavenage Green, and pass into Cherington Park. We discover a Renaissance boar in a field, the fine medieval church of St. Nicholas, and beautiful Cherington Lake. We return is via Nag’s Head, with its touching WWI memorial.

Starting from the Beeches playing fields, we climb through Tiimbercombe Wood to the top of Wistley Hill here we traverse the scarp making our way down through Lineover Wood, hoping to catch an abundance of Spring flora.
