Walking the Ways 5 (of 5)

The last in a series of circular walks exploring the Wardens’ and Windrush Ways, which both end in Bourton. On this walk we go to Lower Slaughter on the Windrush Way, before returning to Bourton on the Wardens’ Way. We then explore to the east of Bourton using the Oxfordshire Way.

Route description

We leave Bourton following the river Windrush and then turn away to the lovely village of Lower Slaughter. We return to Bourton following the Wardens’ Way before heading off through an Iron Age site and Greystones Nature Reserve, across fields to the village of Wyck Rissington. We return to our starting point via Rissington Mill and several lakes.

Please wear suitable footwear and clothing.

There will be a mid-morning and lunch stops, so please bring refreshments.
