SHORTER AND STEADIER - Winstone

The walk starts by the church in the village of Winstone and is largely on footpaths and along quiet lanes.  Some paths may be muddy, especially after a prolonged wet spell.  The walk proceeds along a beautiful valley (will the bluebells be out by then?) towards the attractive village of Duntisbourne Abbots.  After a bit of lane walking there is a fairly gentle climb with great views before crossing the fields back to Winstone.

Route description

This is one of our series of shorter, steadier walks to introduce new walkers to the splendour of our glorious Cotswold landscape and the sheer joy of walking in the countryside.

Shorter walks will be at a gentler pace for those who fear that most Wardens’ Guided Walks may be a bit challenging.  They will also be ideal for families (though not pushchairs, sorry) and possibly anyone wanting to regain fitness after a health setback.

Children must be kept under the supervision of a responsible adult at all time.
