Route description

A walk around the countryside near Dyrham Park visiting some historic locations.

The walk starts at the National Trust car park at Dyrham Park. You will need to pay for parking unless you are a National Trust member but please scan your membership card if you are a member.

From Dyrham we descend to Doynton passing Sands and Lower Ledge farms. At Doynton we visit the Church which dates back to Saxon times then follow the Monarch’s Way along the banks of the River Boyd.

Leaving the Monarch’s Way we make our way to Hinton eventually reaching the Hill Fort on Hinton Hill. From there we follow the Cotswold Way back towards the Dyrham parkland and the start point.
