Cherington Nags

We follow an ancient Roman road between Cirencester and Chavenage Green, and pass into Cherington Park. We discover a Renaissance boar in a field, the fine medieval church of St. Nicholas, and beautiful Cherington Lake. We return is via Nag’s Head, with its touching WWI memorial.

Route description

A varied circular walk, with one shallow climb of around a quarter of a mile coming south out of Nag’s Head hamlet. There can be muddy sections, dependent on prevailing weather conditions. There are several sections of road-walking along quiet lanes.
