Highlights

Knollbury is a roughly rectangular Hillfort consisting of a single rampart and ditch. The rampart is built of piled earth and stone rubble behind a stone revetment of limestone slabs, and measures 10 metres wide and between 1.5-4 metres high. Cultivation has levelled the hillfort interior. There was a surrounding quarry ditch, now filled in, which supplied earth for the construction of the rampart.
