‘Third Thursday Walk’ – Halts and Houses
A new venture from South District Wardens! A two-hour walk every month on the third Thursday starting at 10.30 am from a café or pub, where there is an opportunity for refreshment at the end of the walk. Come and enjoy the glorious Cotswold National Landscape with us every month.
This month, we start at The Goods Shed Café in Tetbury and explore some of the delights of the area around this historic town including the troubled history of a local public house and the disused local branch line. Image courtesy of Patrick Williams.
This walk is organised by Cotswold Voluntary Wardens, the voluntary arm of the Cotswolds Conservation Board. These walks offer an interesting and often entertaining way of exploring our wonderful Cotswold countryside and landscape. All walks by the Voluntary Wardens are FREE OF CHARGE however donations are welcome and help us to take care of the countryside.
PLEASE: always remember to wear appropriate footwear because some walks may be steep and muddy in places. Dogs are not allowed on walks, except guide dogs and hearing dogs. It is advisable to check the website or call the Cotswolds Conservation Board (07841 663607) beforehand for details of any changes, particularly during bad weather.
