Coffee and a side trip.
Optionally, turn up at 9:30 and have a coffee and fantastic cake before starting the walk at 10:00. We will walk under the A417 and along to Syde, before a loop around and under the the road again at Granny’s pumps. Then through Elkstone to the valley behind it.
Elkstone studios is a newish development with upmarket businesses and a large carpark. The Knead eatery is on the far right as you enter the site. The walk will pass through two interesting villages and a large tumulus.
This walk is organised by Cotswold Voluntary Wardens, the voluntary arm of the Cotswolds Conservation Board. These walks offer an interesting and often entertaining way of exploring our wonderful Cotswold countryside and landscape. All walks by the Voluntary Wardens are FREE OF CHARGE however donations are welcome and help us to take care of the countryside.
PLEASE: always remember to wear appropriate footwear because some walks may be steep and muddy in places. Dogs are not allowed on walks, except guide dogs and hearing dogs.
