Navigation
The walk starts at the changing rooms for Lansdown Playing fields at the Lansdown Park and Ride site. It begins by descending to the Primrose Hill nature reserve and onto a section of the Cotswold Way through Sion Hill and into Bath. The path then takes us to the less well-known Cavendish and Lansdown crescents in Bath before passing through Beacon Hill and Fairfield Park.
The walk returns by climbing up the Charlcombe valley stopping at the picturesque 12th century church of St Mary and then on footpaths, with views across the Avon Valley, to Lansdown cemetery and the neo-classical Beckford’s Tower and Ride, before returning via the playing fields to the starting point.
The Firstbus service 31 connects Lansdown Park & Ride with Bath City Centre.
