Route description

We will descend on quiet lanes through Middle Chedworth to reach the south bank of Chedworth Stream which we will follow out past Bleakmoor and Hedley Bottom to Fossebridge where it meets the River Coln.   We will then follow the north bank upstream back to Chedworth village and Pancake Hill.  After a short climb we reach the Monarch’s Way which we follow with fine views of Chedworth nestled in its valley, finally dropping back down into Chedworth by the historic Norman church of St Andrew’s.  Here is the source of the Chedworth Stream and the 7 Tuns Inn which is sadly closed.  We then follow a series of paths and quiet lanes that take us through the heart of the village with a final short ascent back to the Village Hall.
