Join me on a favorite walk around Withington that takes in part of the River Coln trail, glorious
woodlands great for wildlife, classic Cotswold views and some WW2 history.

Route description

We will follow the River Coln and then have a gentle climb to near the Roman Villa (a visit for another
day when it re-opens in February). This will be in part by the former Midland and SW Junction
Railway and Chedworth Woods. The descent is via the former Chedworth Airfield and Withington
Woods with a wonderful view opening up of Withington Village. Back in time for a New Year drink
and bite at the Mill Inn.
